Meet JP. Like most kids, he was excited to be in high school and enjoy the freedom that comes with a new drivers license. Unlike most kids, JP loves school and wishes he could attend in-person. You see, JP should be attending Northridge High School as a sophomore this year, but is currently enrolled in online classes due to some health challenges.
JP has been fighting cancer on and off since he was 2 years old. He was first diagnosed with leukemia in 2012 when he was just 2 years old. His cancer came back when he was 7 years old, again at 14 and again at 15. Today, JP is in Philadelphia participating in a clinical trial that we all hope will be his cure once and for all.
JP loves baseball and used to play shortstop and pitcher. Getting back on the field has been a huge motivating factor for him to push through each curveball he has been thrown. Like Babe Ruth famously said, “It's hard to beat a person who never gives up.”
JP is unbreakable and can’t wait to attend Northridge with his friends as an official knight! He will be honored at an upcoming Northridge High School baseball game by throwing out the first ball.
We are asking for your help to bring a measure of relief to JP and his family by doing a special GIVING TREE. Please join us by doing ANYTHING FOR A FRIEND and show JP some Anything for a Friend LOVE!
