Giving Tree for Wayne Matthew's family

 

Wayne Matthews was 39 years old. Born in Spartanburg SC, raised in Gaffney SC. Parents are Viva and Eric Wheat of Gaffney. Had a massive stroke, at home, on 12/10/25. Was talking and responding at home and left in the ambulance to go to the hospital, because his right leg was numb. Arrived at the hospital unresponsive. Never responded and passed away 12/20/25. He was a corrections officer. He was married to Skye, a social worker, and has three children. Davis, 17 years old, a senior in High School, Hadlee 6 years old, and Penelope 4 years old. 

He loved watching his girls play soccer and dance and his son play football and wrestle. SC Gamecocks and Dallas Cowboys were his favorite teams. He also loved working on anything with a motor. He was a dedicated friend and would go out of his way to help anyone at any time. Funeral is 12/23
