Results are in for Angie's big event!!!  With all of your help, love and support $44,033 was raised.  Yay!!!!  Go Team Angie.

 

Angie Jones

Parts of Angie’s story will not be difficult to relate to, in fact it may sound all to familiar as she was busily raising her three beautiful daughters (Brooklyn age 11, Payton age 9, and Callie age 3) and placing her needs behind the needs of everyone else, but something deep within urged her to get in for an annual physical. 

During this exam, the intuitive doctor found a lump that Angie was unable to feel.  As it turns out, and after a mammogram and needle biopsy, Angie’s trouble was in a totally different area and undetected by Angie, doctors, and the mammogram, but the needle biopsy revealed a quick growing and potentially deadly breast cancer.  The Jones’ existence had in an instant, changed forever!  

Angie has experienced special moments of Divine Intervention in her journey so far, and brightly and positively proclaims that she “knows that this is happening for a reason!” Her confident attitude has been the source of strength for many around her and has given her the fortitude to advocate for herself even when conventional wisdom would have her set back and let others make decisions for her. 

Even after the diagnosis doctors had very little concern about the BRCA gene mutation in Angie’s case, her gut told a different story…AGAIN!  And, again she pushed the issue and received the results that she was indeed positive for the BRCA gene mutation, which would necessitate a double mastectomy and have implications that will ring out for Angie’s mom, three sister, and three little girls.

Along with Mark, Angie and the girl’s lives changing with that fateful call, so did the lives of family and friends that love them.   This active group of loved ones want to do something for Angie and her family and would like your help.  Please join us by doing ‘Anything for a Friend’ and give back to this special lady who is always found serving those around her!  We are excited to help Angie, Mark, and the girls and hope that they will feel our love and support.

Organizing Committee Meeting:

The next organizing committee meeting will be held for Angie’s event on Saturday April 12th 9am-11am at the church building on 11677 Grandville Ave in South Jordan (the team Leads will meet at 8am at the same place).   See you there.
