(A legacy honoring the light of Lindsay Tensmeyer Page and her desire to pass it on!)
There are moments in life that absolutely take our breathe away; some of those moments are unbelievably great, while other’s bring us to our knees. Many of these situations bring a darkness into our hearts and lives that devastate to the core. One of these moments happened for Lindsay Tensmeyer Page on a cold day in January of 2015 when she learned that she had a rare cancer called angiosarcoma. That moment turned into a seven and a half year battle, filled with triumph and sorrow!
Some would have been focused on the cancer, but that is not what Lindsay was focused on. She focused on spreading light in the world around her. She did that everywhere that she went sometimes in the form of a smile, a quiet gesture, or a profound statement. Cancer did not define those years for Lindsay, light did! She chose in the face of unspeakable dark to be a light giver.
There is no better tribute to Lindsay than LIGHT, so in her name and legacy you are receiving a set of friendship lamps. These lamps traverse darkness and space by illuminating a dark place with the light of a loved one who could be miles away, states away, or even half a world away. When you see your lamp glow please pause to think about the decision that Lindsay made in the dark situation of her life and like her, chose LIGHT.
“Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men…” (Matt. 5-14-16)
