Giving Tree for Marci Jackson

Marci Jackson is a 33 year old mother of three boys (ages 8, 6, and 2) and is currently expecting her fourth son. On October 31, 2025, at 26 weeks and 6 days pregnant, Marci received news that would change her life forever: she was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma (a form of breast cancer). She was at home feeding lunch to her two year old, preparing to leave for her older son’s Halloween class party, when the call came. The news was devastating, leaving her feeling paralyzed, helpless, and alone.

Her journey began a few weeks earlier at a routine OB appointment at 24 weeks. Marci mentioned a small lump she had noticed in her breast, though she wasn’t overly concerned. She understood how drastically a woman’s body changes during pregnancy and assumed it was related to that. Her doctor ordered an ultrasound “just to be safe,” which led to a biopsy… and ultimately, to the diagnosis that turned her world upside down.

Pregnancy complicates cancer treatment significantly, as many tests and procedures are unsafe for the baby. With the help of a coordinated team of specialists, Marci underwent further evaluations and learned that the cancer has spread to her lymph nodes and is moderately aggressive. Because of this, her initial treatment plan shifted, and chemotherapy became necessary.

Marci began chemotherapy on December 5, 2025—a day before reaching 32 weeks pregnant. Starting chemo while preparing to deliver a baby has been incredibly difficult for her to process. Just weeks earlier, she felt like a young, healthy mom. Now she faces a battle she never imagined she would fight.

Marci will continue chemotherapy through the remainder of her pregnancy and beyond. After that, she will undergo surgery, radiation, and possibly hormone therapy. One of the heaviest emotional burdens has been accepting that, due to treatment, she will be unable to breastfeed her last baby—something she has always cherished deeply as a mother. Grieving this loss (along with many others) has been heartbreaking.

Please help us do ANYTHING FOR A FRIEND. Marci needs angels to bear her up. It’s her angels that will help her through.
