Rachel Rounds is a wonderful mother, a fun friend, a supportive sister and a caring nurse. Everyone that meets Rachel becomes a dear friend. She supports them in any way she can. Often attending their sporting events, plays, concerts and brings with her sincere cheers of support. Rachel is often the one who finds out about the events and plans a big group to be in the audience to support.
She has recently dealt with a few cards that have challenged her physically, mentally, emotionally, and financially. Rachel would do whatever it took to make ends meet, including donating plasma, selling things, and working extra shifts when possible. In April 2025, she was diagnosed with Stage 3 Inflammatory Breast Cancer, which is rare and very aggressive. She started chemotherapy and has struggled with the physical toll that comes with such treatment. She has also been admitted to the hospital twice since beginning treatment from an infection and no white blood cells. The one who has been so supportive of everyone else, now needs our help. Will you do ANYTHING FOR A FRIEND?
From her sister Natalie:
Rachel is my baby sister. We are 10 years apart and ever since she was a little girl she has always been full of energy and excitement about so many things. She has always been a thoughtful person trying to serve each one of her siblings and her parents. Her nickname is “good buddy” because she is the person that you can depend on and the person who is naturally thinking of ways she can help you. The last couple of years for Rachel have been very unexpectedly challenging. She had an emotionally draining divorce and has been living with a lot of stress to maintain a consistent household for her beautiful 4 children as a single parent. She is a doting mother, who is invested in the many details in her children’s lives. She puts forth lots of effort to give them the best that she can in her strained circumstances. In addition, C. Always trying to do a thoughtful gesture or note. Rachel‘s recent cancer diagnosis this spring has put her in a situation that she is not usually in. She is now the person who needs the comfort and the cheer and the support and the love. She is the person who is not able to do it all herself and is in desperate need of support and love. I find my heart is crushed at the stressful load that she is carrying with being a single mother, trying to make ends meet, and the exhaustion both physically and emotionally battling this aggressive and rare cancer. She is a hero to me in so many aspects and a warrior mother!
To rally means to “come together to support a person or cause for concerted action.” Rachel Rounds has rallied for the people in her life. She organizes groups to cheer on others in their many interests and activities – it is now our time to Rally for Rachel.
