Giving Tree for Ron Brown

Ron Brown was born in Spokane, Washington in 1963. As a young adult, he was active, healthy, and full of energy. Following in the footsteps of his grandfather and father, Ron proudly served in the Army Reserves and dedicated his life to hard work as a garbage man — a job he carried out with pride and resilience for many years. Even as he grew older, he maintained his strength and vitality.

Around the age of 55, Ron began facing health challenges with gallstones and kidney stones. In March 2025, he was diagnosed with colorectal cancer. Since then, he has faced this battle head-on with incredible courage. His treatment has been intense and relentless: daily radiation treatments Monday through Friday for six weeks, chemotherapy every other week for 16 weeks, and a 36-hour continuous infusion chemotherapy protocol, which delivers the drugs slowly and steadily to allow outpatient treatment and reduce some side effects.

Through it all, Ron’s courage, determination, and sense of humor remain unwavering. He continues to face each day with hope, laughter, and the same quick smile that has always lifted the spirits of those around him. He has a gift for bringing laughter to any room, even when the joke’s on him.

Now, it’s our turn to show up for him. Our community has the chance to surround Ron with love, support, and encouragement as he continues this fight — reminding him he’s not walking this journey alone.

Let’s rally around Ron Brown — because together, we can help carry him through this fight.  Thank you for doing your ANYTHING!
