"The Allen family is faced with unimaginable grief and challenges with the unexpected passing of 30 year old Tyler Allen. Tyler was a loving husband, brother, son, and friend who brought light to everyone around him. He loved children and wanted nothing more than to be a father. After several attempts and with the help of the miracle of medicine, Tyler and his wife, Kiersten, were finally blessed with the gift of pregnancy.
Kiersten is currently in her second trimester with their first child, their son. While she grieves the heartbreaking loss of her husband, she is also preparing to bring their baby into the world without Tyler by her side.
Last year, Tyler was diagnosed with diabetes. Because of this diagnosis, he and Kiersten were denied life insurance despite applying with several providers. Without that protection, the financial burden of funeral expenses, medical costs, and preparing for their baby now weighs heavily on Kiersten.
Kiersten couldn't be more deserving of all the blessings life has to offer her. She is an incredible person, friend, and teacher. She has touched the lives of so many of her voice and theatre students. Not only is she an incredible talent with a voice of an angel, but she teaches with love and makes students feel cared for and valued. Tyler and Kiersten have welcomed so many voice students into their home, and she has worked diligently with the theatre students as music director at Shoreline Junior High for 6 years. To have been taught by her is an absolute privilege.
