Johnston Family!
Written by Amy Budge: "Sometimes words just aren’t enough to express the amount of heartbreak you feel, and right now is one of those moments for our family. This weekend, Kyle lost his battle with depression. He left behind four very confused and devastated children. A family full of siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and an amazing mother whose lives will never quite be the same. There is an impression left on our hearts by this funny, witty, goofball of a man and he will never be forgotten. Thank you to everyone for your prayers and love at this time. It really means the world to us. Kyle, I know we’ve had our differences, especially over the last year, but you’ll always be my first love. You’re the one who gave me my greatest blessings in this life-our children. I promise I will try my best to do right by you every day. They will always know how much you love them. Rest In Peace, Budge"
JOIN TEAM DIEGO! FUNDRAISER IN HONOR OF DIEGO "MOOSE" ALBERTO Let’s help a local Roy High Graduate with his fight against Cancer! FOLLOW THE QR CODE FOR MORE DETAI LS AND UPDATES ON THIS FUNDRAISER! HTTPS://BIT.LY/3RPSEX2 Bio Diego Alberto attended Roy high school and was a very athletic and family oriented young man. In December 2020, he was working for USPS while finishing his senior year & playing lacrosse. He started getting very dizzy and tired a lot and his skin began to turn yellow. This worried his family and his dad decided to take him in to the clinic to get checked out. He was told his blood levels were so low that the staff was surprised he had not fainted yet. That initial visit ended up being the first of many hospital visits & tests he would have to endure. Diego has had over 30 procedures, all the while dealing with deteriorating health. After months of seeing different doctors up and down the Wasatch front with no answers, he was finally transferred to Huntsman Cancer Institute where they are struggling to stabilize him currently. They have diagnosed him with LMG Warm Auto Immune Hemolytic Anemia with HLH and now Lymphoma Cancer. The doctors are treating him with a 6-treatment process. Even though he has a diagnosis, he is still enduring many struggles and infections. As you can expect, this has taken its toll on his family as well. His family loves him dearly and would do anything for him no matter the cost. The medical bills are adding up and becoming overwhelming for the family and they have already drained their savings. His parents, Griseth & German Alberto, are very hard-working citizens in our community. Working for the United States postal service and for Grant Trucking before all of this started, his dad has not been able to work since his son became ill because they cannot leave Diego alone. They are trying to do all they can do to care for Diego and their other 2 boys. His treatment plan is a must and a huge priority for his family. We may not be able to change the situation they are in, but we can help take the stress off the family by trying to help them with their medical bills. On May 23rd Diego was ready to go on hospice care, as he could not endure much more. That night he had a dream that God told him to keep fighting, which gave him a little more hope. Then, the Doctors came in the next day with one more idea to try so Diego agreed to give it one more go. Diego is a fighter and wants to live a full life. Please help us fight for him and show him just how much support and love he has by his side! Lets help give his family the strength they need to also keep fighting! Lets help Diego keep fighting and enduring this trial he is facing so he has the hope and
Willard is a thirteen year old boy who lives here in Utah. He has recently been diagnosed with lymphoma, which has come as a shock to his family and friends. His parents, Suavis and Bonaventure, who are originally from Burundi became refugees due to war and were resettled in the United States. They have two sons of their own, as well as two foster children. They both have worked so hard to get an education to provide a happy life for their children, and they are also very active in helping the community. Not only are they foster parents, but Suavis has also started a nonprofit to help youth from Burundi. The family has faced and overcome many challenges, and they are optimistic about helping Willard in fighting his battle with lymphoma. Please join in their fight by helping us put together a giving tree for the family so they can have the means for everything they need this Christmas season. The fundraiser will last through December 9th and the tree will be delivered on Sunday the 11th. If you would like to join us in decorating and/or delivering the tree, please text Angie Dennis at (208) 357-8697. We would love as many people there as we can get! The delivery is sure to be a special occasion for all, and it will help this family to feel loved and supported during this hard time. Thank you for your kind hearts!
Esther is one of the most patient and loving people you will ever meet. The thing she wanted most in life was to be a mother. She was blessed with three amazing children of her own. Then in July of 2022, Esther married her husband AJ and became a bonus mom to AJ’s two small children. With their five children, and Esther working two jobs, she rarely has time for herself. She is such a selfless person and donates all of her free time and energy to her children. She asks for nothing for herself and yet has the most positive attitude of anyone I know. Esther has been faced with so many challenges in her life but she has never let her faith falter. She is now facing yet another challenge. In April of 2024, Esther was diagnosed with a rare form of breast cancer. Even through it all, she is still able to smile and be a light to everyone she meets. She is the true definition of a fighter and we know she is going to beat this!
